Building on communities to innovate and change economic logic

All over Québec, communities are spearheading initiatives that meet their needs, and often bring new ways of doing, seeing and conceiving local development. These initiatives feature business models that combine economic, social and environmental development. Through their way of doing things, they lead us to think and organize differently in order to reconcile these 3 priorities. These projects are inspiring their communities, and offer ways of doing things that can inspire the whole of Québec. In this sense, innovation comes from communities. So, in the face of global challenges, how can we rethink the way we do things in terms of housing, food security, environmental preservation and the reuse of materials? The social economy is an excellent vehicle for doing just that! Let’s develop a collective reflex and work together towards other economic logics.
